New construction of a 5,951 square foot, 2-story, European Country style home with 4,504 square feet of additional basement/unfinished living space and 4 garages, designed to blend into the Bonita, California hillside for a harmonious indoor – outdoor relationship, using natural lighting and ventilation, passive solar orientation, the latest green technologies and environmentally friendly materials including exterior walls built with two-foot wide straw bales, a material that not only utilizes a waste product from the farming industry but also intentionally engages in the carbon cycle by sequestering carbon during its lifetime, decreasing carbon emissions and allowing the built environment to become a tool to ease the effects of climate change.
