Chief Estimator
Tim Travers has extensive experience on a broad range of construction projects and their delivery platforms including military, retail, education, institutional, hotel, restaurant, healthcare, commercial, custom home, multi-family housing, mixed-use, land development, civil and other types of projects that have included new construction, renovations, remodels, tenant improvements, rehabilitation, and other forms of construction.
Contract delivery methods have included competitive lump sum, guaranteed maximum, construction management, design-build, unit price, and other types of contracts. Tim is experienced in all phases of the project from concept and planning through bidding, design, construction, project closeout to project occupancy.
Employed by Pacific West Builders since 2010 as its Chief Estimator, Tim is responsible for all of the estimates and proposals that are submitted to various clients. Upon award of a project, Tim assists the designers in developing the design to ensure compliance with the RFP and with the budget developed during the bidding process. Tim has additionally performed as the project manager on various projects.
Employed by Quest Construction from 1985 through 2009 as their Senior Estimator, Tim was responsible for all estimates and proposals whether, preliminary, negotiated, lump sum, design-build, or construction management, and performed as project manager on many projects.
Prior to arriving in the United States in 1985, Tim worked in Saudi Arabia for 6 years and prior to that was enlisted in the British Royal Engineers for 7 years.
